A few days ago my friend's post showed up on my wall about a new "virus" being sent through. The entire problem (and the solution) has been described in detail on the website. So in the interest of not duplicating content, I encourage you to just visit this popular website. I will only briefly mention perhaps the most important issue. Recently, strange contents have been appearing in messages sent by friends.
After verification, these contents were not sent by them. a strange "photo" file C Level Contact List available for download with a . extension, don't do it! I will just add that popular file extensions are . or . , so the red light here should be on. It turns out that this is a malicious "worm" that, when downloaded and opened, runs a dangerous script that redirects you to a subsequent page that encourages you to download the plug-in. When you do this, all of your accounts (bank, social media) will be open to the malware creators, and data from your computer or other devices you use may be encrypted.

Another behavior currently rampant on the Internet is group messaging asking for “free” text messages to be sent to that number. .I was targeted last night myself. Here is a screenshot of my brief "conversation". While the answer to the question caused some consternation, the content immediately struck me as suspicious.
